Dart! This surprised me. It was like Ray Charles shot eye beams at me.

It's a great tradition to paint people skipping around in the woods. The theme of this piece was to use the hard pencil. Which I'm liking more than gradated tools. Me thinks it stems from oekaki days. I have a horrible feeling that's going to make a violent come back. The other theme was warm or cool or die. Mostly dying. . . this took me more than a days study. Which is too long for taste. . . add salt for taste.

thanks to faestock [link] for the ref.

Thank you! The block pencil is something I've been experimenting with. I like how the alias colours gyrate like an oil painting would. as for oekakies, yeah, pretty much all my work stems for those. Well, not really but they do have a big influence on my work.

Something about this technique rings more like physical paint. Maybe it is just all the hard edge because when I do paint I tend to paint thick and opaque. But I do have oekaki roots. So I have an fondness of the aliased edge and pixels. Thank you!

I'll see if I can dig some up. Unfortunately most have got the way of magnetic media. I'll post them in my scraps page. I'd say they were old, but is 2003 old?
